Very happy with the end result. I found the staff to be professional and punctual and the quality of work good. Matt came out for the initial estimate and was detailed in his description of the level of effort necessary as well as how long it would take and when they could come out to do the work. Once scheduled, the work was completed in 1 day while we were at work. Description of work: We had new 6-inch gutters and downspouts installed along with the MasterShield Gutter Guard.

Did extensive review of the performance of various gutter guard systems on the internet before contacting making a selection. I had purchased and installed another system on our previous house and quickly learned that the "clog free for life" claim of this manufacturer proved to rather vacuous. From my survey of the performance of a number of systems, MasterShield gutter guards came out on top. I then went to MasterShield's website for an installer and they recommended MasterShield VA/MD. I contacted Tom and Matt Kahn, the father and son team who own MasterShield VA/MD and set up an appointment. They came to the house and looked over my system after which we talked. It became quickly obvious that they knew a lot about gutters and gutter guard systems which was very reassuring. I also appreciated Tom and Matt Kahn's low-key sales pitch. Basically, their sales pitch was that we have a good product with an outstanding history of performance; a highly competent installation team, and they were more than willing to answer any and all questions that I had as truthfully and honestly as they could. In the end, I was convinced and we set up an installation date. On the day of installation, their installers arrived almost precisely on time. They were curious, diligent and professional and completed the installation and cleanup of the gutter guards in a timely manner. At the end, they came to the door and showed me their work, mentioned a number of places on the gutter system may need improvement depending on its performance in rain storms, and emphasized that if I had any problems they would could come back and rectify them. The gutter guards have been installed for about a month. Performance has met my expectations. I still need to see how they perform works in the harder rains typical of late summer and early fall before I pass final judgement on the system. To date, I would highly recommend their system and, in particular, I would highly recommend MasterShield VA/MD. Description of work: Recently moved into a new house that is located next to a large number of tall trees, so it was obvious that gutter guards were needed along the entire length of our gutter system.

I needed work done on my home in Washington DC.  We were selling the house and the home inspector found some rotted wood and also suggested the gutters were not draining properly. We interviewed several companies, however, Matt Kahn with Mastershield certainly had the most knowledge and came up with a plan that worked with the very tight schedule.  The day came for installation to start and his crew showed up on time, and within 3 straight days completed all the work.  They also replaced all the gutters and painted all the replaced wood during a very cold stretch of winter.  Everything was done at their warehouse so the work could move forward without slowing down the project.   Their attention to detail, onsite supervision, and quality workmanship was the icing on the cake.  Thank you for getting a very difficult job done within a ridiculous time frame.

The overall experience was first rate. Tom came with his son and gave me an estimate straight away. Both were friendly, courteous and dealing with them was very straight-forward. I agreed to use them the next day and we arranged installation for the following week. On the day the installers talked me through how everything was going to happen and they did what they said were going to do with a minimum of fuss. Couldn't be happier with the service from start to finish. Description of work: Tom's Team came and installed Mastershield gutter guards on all my existing gutters.

Went on Angie's List 4/26 and submitted a request for an estimate for either 4/30, 5/4 or 5/5.  Received email from Matt Kahn to confirm appt for 4/30 at 11 am. Met with Tom and Matt Kahn before 11 am 4/30 and agreed on installation.  Received call from Ashley 5/8 that the installation was scheduled for 5/15 in the morning.  Mike, Damien and John arrived as scheduled and completed the job at 4:30 pm. Description of work: Furnish and install MasterShield System - White K-style 6" gutters, 3"x 4" downspouts, install one rain barrel diverter and remove and dispose of existing old gutters and downspouts 

My parents put me in charge for finding someone to fix their aging gutters.   My Father has Alzheimer's and my Mom has to handle most of the house stuff by herself.   Tom and Matt came out for a free estimate and they got along so well with my Mom she hired them on the spot.   The work was done yesterday and she reports she could not be more pleased.   Work was completed on time and the men were very good at their job and even had a blower to blow all the leaves and mess into the woods.   Mom says she will gladly refer you to anyone who asks.   Thank you so much for understanding my particular situation and doing such a great job!  My parents will never have to worry about those gutters again!  Tracy :)  Description of work: Replaced 30 year old gutters on back of house, new downspouts and cleaned and put protectors on gutters in front of house.   Now my parents never have to worry about their gutters again!
