The entire process from the first meeting to installation was completely flawless! They arrived as scheduled and fully described the installation, warranty and price. They also gave me an Angie's List discount! We scheduled the installation a few weeks later for my convenience. The installation crew arrived on time, did a professional job, cleaned the worksite and discussed the installation. I had to wait sometime since we didn't have much rain in September, however, the rains came in force in October. The Master Shield Guards worked exactly as what was promised. There was no water overruns at all and they worked perfectly even in the heaviest downpours. I had a few other estimates that were a few dollars less. However, the comments on Angie's list were far superior to the others. I can understand why; Master Shield is the best for your gutters in protecting and enhancing your home and its value. Fantastic product and reasonable price when compared to other companies/products.

They were almost an hour late to an 8am appointment (I was their first appointment of the day). I don't fault them for the traffic situation that caused this, but a simple phone call would have been common courtesy instead of depending on the customer to call and ask "Hey, are you still coming?"
I'd still use them again though, and I'm very pleased with the effectiveness and quality of the product.

This is the second time we've used MasterShield - the first time was about two years ago. Our house backs into the woods and we had continuous leaf issues with the gutters on the back half of the house. MasterShield installed covers on the existing, 4" gutters and more recently, replaced a section of 4" gutter with 6" gutter and a larger downspout to accommodate the large square footage of one section of our roof.

Dealing with Tom, the owner, was fantastic. We went back and forth on how to use the Angies List coupon we had purchased and there was a little bit of confusion over what exactly we need to fix our gutter problem but in the end the whole process was great and we have beautiful new gutters. We elected not to have the MasterShield installed right away since our problem is more with how much water the gutters can hold during massive storms than with leaves getting caught up there, but we may go back for the gutter guards in the future.
I am a Realtor on Capitol Hill and it is very difficult to find good contractors in DC, but this is one of them. Will recommend to our friends and clients.

* Original concerns I had with functionality were resolved to our satisfaction. Still a little overflow water, but thinking this may be due to the oils on the materials that I was told usually take a month of rain to work off. I will continue to monitor the overflow and will call the company again should I feel there is an issue. I have been assured the company will work with me to get things fully resolved.

Follow up on minor overflow issue. The little bit of water that had been overflowing has stopped just as they promised. Be patient, it takes a few weeks for the oil to get washed out of the product.

I wish working with all contractors went this smoothly! Tom came out to measure and give recommendations. He explained the pros and cons of various gutter guards--and it all jibed with the research I had done on-line (which had lead me to the MasterShield gutter guards).
Though it is a busy season for them, they got us on their schedule within two weeks. The crew came out to install yesterday--and the only way you can tell they were here is by the new gutter guards they installed (they look great!), the cleaned-up roof, and the leaves they kindly blew into a nice pile for me.
The installers were very courteous and thorough. There are several large trees behind our home, so our roof was littered with branches and leaves. Aside from installing the guards and tightening up the gutters overall, they cleaned off the roof debris and un-clogged a couple of gutters for me. I had used one company in the past who did not do this. Though those workers were courteous and professional, they had told me they were not allowed to do any work that was not implicitly stated in the contract. So they left me with a clogged gutter for weeks until I could get them out again to do the work.

I only quibble with the price--I realize MasterShield guards are simply more expensive than other systems, but because of the height of our roof and the number of trees on our lot, we really needed a system with no maintenance. My wallet is hurting, though! We'll see how the gutter guards perform--however, I feel confident that I can call on Tom's company if I need anything!

Went on Angie's List 4/26 and submitted a request for an estimate for either 4/30, 5/4 or 5/5. Received email from Matt Kahn to confirm appt for 4/30 at 11 am. Met with Tom and Matt Kahn before 11 am 4/30 and agreed on installation. Received call from Ashley 5/8 that the installation was scheduled for 5/15 in the morning. Mike, Damien and John arrived as scheduled and completed the job at 4:30 pm.

I needed work done on my home in Washington DC. We were selling the house and the home inspector found some rotted wood and also suggested the gutters were not draining properly. We interviewed several companies, however, Matt Kahn with Mastershield certainly had the most knowledge and came up with a plan that worked with the very tight schedule. The day came for installation to start and his crew showed up on time, and within 3 straight days completed all the work. They also replaced all the gutters and painted all the replaced wood during a very cold stretch of winter. Everything was done at their warehouse so the work could move forward without slowing down the project.

Their attention to detail, onsite supervision, and quality workmanship was the icing on the cake. Thank you for getting a very difficult job done within a ridiculous time frame.

I was replacing an existing Gutter Helmet system on my house because Gutter Helmet would not honor the warranty. Tom and Matt Kahn showed up right on time to provide an estimate to place MasterShield gutter protection system on my entire house. They walked around the house with me and told me about their product. They answered all of my questions and explained how their product compares to others on the market. Fortunately their crew is very familiar with gutter helmet system (due to being former installers) so they could handle the removal easily. The plan was to install my new system within 10 days but after a last minute cancellation, Tom and Matt were able to have my MasterShield system installed the next day! They are both very friendly guys who know a lot about gutters protection systems. As salesmen, they are very patient in answering questions and do not pressure you to sign a deal you are not comfortable with (unlike some of their competitors). As I watch the leaves fly off my roof and wait for the next rainfall, I am glad I bought a quality Mastershield system from quality guys like Tom and Matt!

We are on our first day into hurricane Sandy. This is the first real stress of the gutters. Appear to work fine. We have a large maple tree in the front yard and have several inches of normal and hurricane caused leaf drop on our front yard. I specifically went out to check gutters earlier to day when it was pouring. Seemed to be just fine. Our old gutters would have been full of leaves and the water would have been pouring over the side of the gutters. Another real test will occur this winder when the gutters are iced up. I hope they work in that environment. I expect they will. These gutters are expensive but should be worth it in the long run.

The provider did an excellent job. The new gutters, etc, were installed efficiently and with care. They invited us to inspect their work and explained the features of the gutter guards as we examined them. Ladders are never fun to climb, especially when it is a dirty job like cleaning gutters. My family has been in this industry for over 40 years and we have heard horror stories of people on ladders trying to clean their gutters when the ladder kicks out and the homeowners falls to the ground. Some of the time it is bumps and scratches, but sometimes it is a broken rib. This leads me to our next project at a home in Old Town Alexandria, VA.
