Work was completed on time, efficiently and neatly. The product is a bit pricey, but I'm so happy that my gutters are leaf free, given that it's November and my yard is covered in leaves. I was up on the roof this weekend for other reasons and was amazed at how clean the gutter guard screens are one month after installation-- completely free of debris despite the recent deluge of leaves, acorns and sticks.

This was the storybook Angie's list experience that seems more and more difficult to find. They are a family owned business and it shows. Gutters were replaced and are working perfectly. They also cleaned and graded them appropriately as part of the work. Drainage is now working perfectly and heavy storms no longer flow over to create erosion issues and property damage. They know the product, they stand behind their work, there aren't any games, it is just business as it should be done: on time, on schedule, professional and excellent. We could not be happier with the project.

This was possibly one of the best experiences I have had so far with a service provider from start to finish. Professional from the initial phone call through completion of service and so far with respect to follow up service as well. Tom is willing to answer questions, sticks exactly to the service we requested without trying to sell additional services and, although the estimate was a bit more than some other providers, I decided to go with Mastershield because of the visible quality and reviews of the product itself and the interaction I had with Tom. I recommend.

This is a fantastic company. From start to finish, Tom Kahn was communicative and professional about managing the job, explaining what would be done, and checking in with us that all of our expectations were exceeded. We had a particularly rainy week that delayed the start date of our job and Tom reached out promptly and courteously to let us know when the new start date would be. The installers who came to our house, David and Freddy, were on time and polite. They worked quickly and did a fantastic job -- they even replaced additional fascia that they found was rotten during the course of the installation that they did for free.

This is a small family owned business and they treat you like family. I would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again in the future. Also, their lifetime guarantee on their product is just icing on the cake. Thank you Mastershield!

The overall experience was first rate. Tom came with his son and gave me an estimate straight away. Both were friendly, courteous and dealing with them was very straight-forward. I only found one gutter nail in the yard after they left and considering the amount of debris they had, that's a pretty good clean-up. Everything working fine so far.

I needed work done on my home in Washington DC. We were selling the house and the home inspector found some rotted wood and also suggested the gutters were not draining properly. We interviewed several companies, however, Matt Kahn with Mastershield certainly had the most knowledge and came up with a plan that worked with the very tight schedule. The day came for installation to start and his crew showed up on time, and within 3 straight days completed all the work. They also replaced all the gutters and painted all the replaced wood during a very cold stretch of winter. Everything was done at their warehouse so the work could move forward without slowing down the project.

Their attention to detail, onsite supervision, and quality workmanship was the icing on the cake. Thank you for getting a very difficult job done within a ridiculous time frame.

It went very well. The company was willing to schedule around another contractor that was working to replace rotten wood in the same area. In process, a minor confusion on size occurred and they stopped the work gave us some choices including tearing out what they'd already done. They were extremely apologetic for the error and ultimately we liked the original work better and they came back to complete it promptly. We will definitely use them to finish the rest of the house next season when the repair work is completed. Very happy customer!

I have a townhome in an established community with some very large oak and maple trees immediately surrounding the house. Normally, a lot of leaves and debris would end up in the gutters every fall. I had been looking for the best gutter guard system for my application and had already decided to try the Mastershield guards based on other reviews. So, I was happy when I was able to save a bit of money upfront by using the Big Deal.
It may not be the least expensive solution, but I think the price is worth the quality of the product.
And, the experience of working with the owner, Tom Kahn, and his staff was pleasant and very efficient. They kept me informed of the scheduling and everything was done according to schedule.
Since the work was completed, I have had no problems with the gutters, and the look of the installed product fit perfectly with the existing exterior paint scheme. I'm very satisfied and I'm now looking forward to a long period with problem-free gutters.

I wish working with all contractors went this smoothly! Tom came out to measure and give recommendations. He explained the pros and cons of various gutter guards--and it all jibed with the research I had done on-line (which had lead me to the MasterShield gutter guards).
Though it is a busy season for them, they got us on their schedule within two weeks. The crew came out to install yesterday--and the only way you can tell they were here is by the new gutter guards they installed (they look great!), the cleaned-up roof, and the leaves they kindly blew into a nice pile for me.
The installers were very courteous and thorough. There are several large trees behind our home, so our roof was littered with branches and leaves. Aside from installing the guards and tightening up the gutters overall, they cleaned off the roof debris and un-clogged a couple of gutters for me. I had used one company in the past who did not do this. Though those workers were courteous and professional, they had told me they were not allowed to do any work that was not implicitly stated in the contract. So they left me with a clogged gutter for weeks until I could get them out again to do the work.

I only quibble with the price--I realize MasterShield guards are simply more expensive than other systems, but because of the height of our roof and the number of trees on our lot, we really needed a system with no maintenance. My wallet is hurting, though! We'll see how the gutter guards perform--however, I feel confident that I can call on Tom's company if I need anything!

The crew came during their allotted time window. They worked quickly and were careful to remove all debris. The whole process took about 3 hours. Then one of the guys had me walk around to inspect and answer any questions.

Removed old gutters and replaced with larger sized gutters with the gutter guard. These will keep the leaves out and they are installed with screws, so they won't come off like my old ones.

Description of work:

They installed some new gutters and gutter guards on most of my 2story house and garage. They did an excellent job and were on schedule. They are high quality gutter guards and I have no fear that I will need to have them cleaned again.

The only drawback is that they shed a small percentage of the water and so you have some mild dripping over the edge of the gutter. This is also true when and if they ice over a bit. Still worth the expense though. This does stop dripping after all the oils are out of the filter. It takes about 2 good rains.

This is a very good company. They came and clearly explained to me what would be involved and why the master shield gutter and downspout system would solve the problems I have been having on my 40-year-old house. As a family owned company, you have the strong sense that they take pride in their work and they use veterans to perform the work. The installation team was extremely polite, punctual, and took obvious care and pride in their work. They are definitely not the cheapest option out there, but if you want good service and a system that appears to be built for the long term, this is a good option to consider.
